06 - Fresh mint leaves

# Directions:

01 - Squeeze fresh lemons to extract approximately 1 cup of lemon juice. Remove any seeds or pulp.
02 - In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice with sugar. Stir vigorously using a wooden spoon until sugar completely dissolves.
03 - Pour cold water into the pitcher. Mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution of ingredients.
04 - Add ice cubes to the mixture. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired, or dilute with additional water if too strong.
05 - Pour into serving glasses. Garnish with fresh lemon slices and mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately while chilled.

# Quick Tips:

01 -
  • Takes literally ten minutes from cutting board to glass
  • Uses fresh lemons instead of bottled stuff which honestly makes all the difference
02 -
  • Sugar dissolves way faster in warm lemon juice than in cold water, learned this after stirring for ten minutes once
  • Room temperature lemons yield more juice than cold ones straight from the fridge
03 -
  • Make a double batch because it vanishes faster than you expect
  • The second day always tastes better after the flavors have time to hang out together
