08 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Directions:

01 - Toast all 12 bread slices until golden brown and crispy.
02 - Lay out 4 bread slices and spread each with mayonnaise. Layer turkey slices, lettuce, and avocado slices on top of each.
03 - Season the first layer lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
04 - Place a second toasted slice on each sandwich and spread with additional mayonnaise.
05 - Add tomato slices and 2 bacon strips per sandwich on the middle layer.
06 - Top each sandwich with the final bread slice to create the triple-decker structure.
07 - Gently press sandwiches together and secure each with wooden picks. Cut each sandwich diagonally into triangles.
08 - Serve immediately, optionally with chips or pickles on the side.

# Quick Tips:

01 -
  • The triple decker construction means every bite hits all three flavor layers at once
  • Crisp bacon and creamy avocado create that perfect salty rich contrast that makes California cuisine sing
02 -
  • Wooden picks are nonnegotiable for these towering beauties, or you'll have a structural collapse on your plate
  • Assembly order matters more than you'd think, with the sturdier ingredients anchoring the delicate tomato layer
03 -
  • Place a damp paper towel under your cutting board to keep it from sliding while you slice those tall sandwiches
  • Use a serrated knife and saw gently through the layers instead of pressing down, which squishes everything flat
